» BRIAN DOWLING ULTIMATE BIG BROTHER CHAMPION!!

48.jpgOn Friday 10 September Brian won the title of Ultimate Big Brother Housemate!  Brian looked shocked as Davina McCall called out his name to the Elstree crowd as the winner, ahead of Nikki Grahame in second place. Brian won with 49-21% of the second part of the vote ahead of Nikki Grahame who received 30.28% and Chantelle Houghton who received 20.51%.

 49.jpg

Davina crowning Brian as the Ultimate Housemate was the climax of an evening devoted to the iconic TV show which has now reached the end of its time on Channel 4. Brian looked dapper in a smart black suit and tie fitting perfectly the funeral theme of the evening.

Brian had been favourite to win the show for much of its two and a half week duration; however a strong showing by Nikki towards the end of the last week made the final a slightly tense and nervous affair.  There were few doubts though that Brian would come through to win in the end.

51.jpg

Most of the memorable moments during the show involved him and he again made us laugh throughout with his hilarious banter with the other housemates. However Brian will not only be remembered for his effortless humour but for his compassion and warmth to his fellow housemates. Chantelle dubbing him ‘the nicest guy she had ever met’ and Ulrika saying that ‘every girl should have a Brian Dowling in their lives’.

50.jpg

Long term and newly converted fans alike cast their votes to crown Brian the well deserved Ultimate Big Brother Housemate.

» Brian Dowling wins Celebrity Come Dine With Me - Big Brother Winners Special!

44.jpgBrian as the winner of BB2 was one of four winners taking part in the celebrity edition of Come Dine With Me – Big Brother Special. He battled it out against Nadia Almada (Winner BB5) Brian Belo(Winner BB8) and Sophie Read(Winner BB10) to not only to provide the finest culinary delights but also be the most convivial host on the evening to be the winner of £1000 for charity.

None of the menus would have Gordon Ramsey quaking in his boots, however Brian’s Starter: Rocket and parmesan salad. Main: Shepherd's pie and Desssert: Eton mess, was deemed the most impressive of the four.

There were numerous ‘shakes head in disbelief’ moments throughout43.jpg the four days.  Sophie asking Brian Dowling “Do potatoes grown on trees?” To which he replied, “Yes, right by the money tree and the diamond tree." And was ‘chowder a type of dog?’ Brian Belo tried to squeeze a peeled lemon with a potato masher and make soup without any liquid!

Brian Dowling summed up the four nights perfectly "We've had drunken Brian Belo, we've had broken glasses, we've had fun, we've had lots of feely-touchiness, we've had a budding romance and we've had an argument. It's better than Big Brother!"
