Welcome to Absolutely
the official website of TV presenter Brian Dowling!
Since winning Big Brother Series 2 in 2001 Brian has never looked back - going on to become an established TV/Radio presenter, voice over artist, corporate host and Panto star. Still universally loved, Brian was voted 'The Nation's Favourite Big Brother Housemate Ever 'by the public in 2005 2007.' In 2010 Brian received the supreme accolade of being voted the fans No1 housemate in C4's last series "Ultimate Big Brother".
Brian would like to thank everyone for their unconditional support over the years, saying he has 'the most amazing and loyal fans in the world'.
Brian did himself - and us - proud in the Star Magazine 2003 Readers Poll, coming in 8th in the "Most Stylish Man" category, 10th in the "Sexiest Man" category, 5th in the Favourite TV personality category, and 6th "Most Memorable TV Moment" for his final SM:tv.
Best of all, Brian's Boyfriends was number 18 in the Best TV show category, despite it's late timeslot!
At the Now magazine Style Awards at the Clothes Show on 7th December, Brian waltzed off with the award for most stylish TV personality.
The award was presented by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Duncan James, and Brian beat off some pretty stiff competition from the likes of Tara herself, and Vernon Kay. He gave us a perfect illustration of why he won the award as he went up to receive it, sporting a black suit and very funky black patent trainers!
All eyes were on the NEC in Birmingham when Brian presented the Clothes Show Live alongside the lovely Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. Among the guests appearing that weekend were LibertyX, Darius Danesh and Duncan from Blue.
There was a treat in store for Brian's fans when he & Tara took to the stage with the models and dancers, and joined in with a very lively dance routine. A number of members from the site were lucky enough to get tickets for Brian's shows, and you can see their photos here
Brian made an unexpected appearance at the final show of Misteeq's Eye Candy tour at the Hammersmith Apollo recently. Alesha, Sabrina and Su-Elise were astonished when Brian turned up on stage during "Can't Get It Back". In a plot hatched by their roadies, the band's usual stunt of pulling a member of the audience up on stage and tying him to a chair for a lap dance was hijacked, and the hapless audience member replaced by none other than our very own Brian! The girls were delighted, of course, and Brian naturally "lapped up" the attention!
Brian and Gail Porter co-hosted the 7th annual Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show, sponsored by Bhs and the Arcadia Group, at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in central London. All the models at the event were women who have had breast cancer.
A number of famous faces attended the event including Cherie Blair who is a patron of Breast Cancer Care, Louise Redknapp, Lisa Snowdon, Carol Vorderman, Paul O'Grady, Tony Blackurn, and many others.
Brian will be appearing at the Clothes Show Live at the Birmingham NEC from Friday the 5th of December through to Monday 8th December.
The following details appear on the Clothes show live website. BB's most entertaining winner and now TV presenter will be at the show adding to the fun! His cheeky humour will get a grin on your face guaranteed!
We will bring you more details as and when we get them.
It has been reported in Saturday's Daily Express that Brian is being lined up to front his own Graham Norton style late night chat show on ITV.
Brian is quoted as saying 'There are loads of things in the pipe line, but there is one show in particular that I am excited about. There's talk of me fronting a chat show which would be totally amazing. I don't want to be seen as the new Graham Norton because I wouldn't be like him at all, but I would be lying if I didn't want to be as successful'.
This is wonderful news, and we will bring you more details as and when we get them.
Brian was the narrator on this evening's The Salon: Back in Business on Channel 4. Instantly recognisable, he made an excellent job of it, coming over clear and precise.
Not only did Brian narrate the opening show, he is also going to be the voice of The Salon for all the evening show on C4. Although we would all love to be 'watching' Brian, we can at least listen to him every evening on C4 6pm - 6.30pm. repeated at 8pm on E4 and also The Salon: After Hours, late each Thursday evening.
If we do hear anything more, you will be the first to know.
