Big Brother winner Brian Dowling revealed yesterday, "I finally got my gig in Ireland".
The Irish star was joined by Fran Cosgrave and Caroline Monahan as hosts of this year's O2 in the Park in Dublin. Thousands crammed into Phoenix Park for Ireland's biggest free concert organised every year bt TFM.
Speaking back stage Brian said "Oh my God. I can't believe it. I had no idea how big this was when I agreed to do it. This is amazing I've spent the day interviewing everyone from Charlotte Church and Lee Ryan to Fran Cosgave, Natasha Hamilton and Tabby Callaghan.
"This is a dream come true for me, to finally do something in Ireland. "Next on my dream list would be to get my own show on RTE."
Brian Dowling says he is back with the love of his life - but he insists ''I'll never have a gay marriage like my pal Elton John." The gay Big Brother winner is back with Belgian dancer Arthur who left him devastated when they split after a series of blazing rows.
As he prepares to host tomorrow's o2 in the Park spectacular, the Irishman revealed: ''We're back together and I've never been so in love. When Arthur and I split I realised how much he meant to me. I had neglected our relationship because work took everything over. I started calling him a few months ago and we met up a few times for dinner. The chemistry between us was stronger than ever and we both wanted to be back in a relationship''
But while Brian is enjoying the joys of love again, he has no plans to tie the knot and make it official like superstar Elton John who will wed his lover David Furnish later this year. He said '' Elton is a great guy and he always invites me to his parties but marriage isn't for me. Arthur knows I would never want to get married he is fine with that."
Brian played host last night at the Kremlin Nightclub in Belfast to their ‘Pride’ Prince and Princess contest. The winners of the contest Peter and Cara will grace the Kremlin Float at the forthcoming ‘Pride Parade’, beating 18 other entrants on the night.
The club were full of praise for Brian, saying, “He was a real treat to work with!” Arriving well before the party, he enjoyed a few drinks at their sister bar The Union Street Pub , before going onstage at 12.30am.
After hosting the contest Brian stayed at the club, giving everyone who wanted the opportunity, a chance to have their photograph taken with him.
It was a brilliant night for everyone and Brian had a ball.

August 27th 2005 sees Brian presenting Ireland hottest free gig, O2 In The Park.
Brian and his co-presenter Fran Cosgrave - winner of the recent Celebrity Love Island - will introduce the acts at the big day out in Phoenix Park, Dublin, in front of a crowd of 100,000.
Organisers are staying tight-lipped about the line-up for the day, but last year top acts like Westlife, Girls Aloud and Brian McFadden played.
Brian said “I’m really excited because this is my first gig in Ireland and it’s lovely to be doing something at home. I’m a bit nervous about standing out in front of such a big crowd but I’m sure it will be fine. I’m doing Party in the Park in Leeds this weekend so that should be good practice”.
The concert will be pre-recorded to go out at a later date on RTÉ.
